If you are a parent or you know someone that is (most people do), you might have heard of the term “ultrasound”. This is a technology that was invented many years ago and has been used for a wide variety of processes. What the original reason for developing ultrasound is still unclear but it surely was not meant for the 2007 baby ultrasound pictures that new parents to be have taken thousands of each and every day.

The technology and the equipment, along with the education of the nurses and doctors, have greatly improved over the years and as things became completely safe the public took the ultrasound pictures to heart and very few parents would not go for a scan. It has actually become an obligation in some countries as the scan can help see whether the child will be born with any major defects.
I am not here to discuss the issue of whether or not it is right or wrong to use the baby ultrasound scans for abortion purposes but it is a fact that you can find parents that will have the baby removed if it shows that the baby will be born with either major or even minor defect. Some countries (mostly in Asia and South America) parent would have the baby removed prior to its birth it is was meant to be a girl.
Sharing Baby Pictures
All through time baby pictures have been everywhere but in the year 2007 baby ultrasound pictures are now being placed on the walls and in frames on the parent’s desks at work. The fun thing is that these pictures are very rarely of a good quality and will always be in black and white and you will often have to use your imagination to see that it is a baby and you would need to be a professional to see whether it was a baby boy or a baby girl.
Nowadays file-sharing sites, movie-sharing sites and picture-sharing sites are popping up all over the internet. They are also knows and social websites and they have become extremely popular. For the last 5 years you have been able to find baby forums where parents could post pictures of their babies but within the last 6-12 months we have seen parents post their 2007 baby ultrasound pictures for others to see.
If you ask me this is ridicules but who am I to judge. My guess is that from now on we will se categories in the social networking websites with sections of baby ultrasound scans and before we know it we might even find sub sections with 2006 and 2007 baby ultrasound pictures. Where will it end? Maybe we’ll see live births online soon…
