How A Name Makes You Popular
To name a child is a task that is not to be taken lightly. The decision is not final but changing your name later is not as easy as it sounds. So when new parents are spending hours and hours debating baby names, making long lists of good names and bad names, there is a reason for it. Who haven’t heard (or tried themselves) of parents making boy names lists and girl names lists and then finally comparing them to find out what they have in common.
Modern baby names have become popular or maybe it is the other way around and the fact that some names are popular have made them modern. Never the less baby names have been divided into broad baby names groups such as common/popular names, odd/unique names or trendy/modern names. I believe that each group of parents has a reason for choosing that specific section.
Most people go for the common and popular names and they reason that they are called common is precise that this it was most parents choose to name their babies. Names that are common in some parts of the world or even in countries can be seen as rare or odd in other parts of the world or even in the neighbor countries. And it changes almost every year.
Modern baby names are the group of trendy names that celebrity stars give to their children. The great Hollywood movie stars or the music idols and sports icons have made it a branding issue to give your baby a name that is strange enough to get them some free publicity in the media. The funny part is that within a few months these (before strange) names becomes modern and trendy as people and fans of these super stars will name their babies after star babies.
I know that some people will regret following this path and especially if they name their babies ridiculous names after pop stars that are only going to be around for a few months or maybe a few years. But that is this risk you will have to take if you want to copy famous people.
The last part or group of names is the odd and unique names. If you want to name you child a name that is uncommon this is the section for you. You can never avoid the fact that the super stars might use the name that you have already used but then you can always say that you were the first one to use it. So even if a baby name is considered odd in the year 2007 it can very well be on the 2008 list of modern baby names.
